Learn how to make your long circular needles do double duty! You can use them to knit socks, sleeves, sweaters, hats, mittens, and more. If you’ve always been curious about using a Magic Loop but didn’t know where to start, this would be a great way to try out the technique, so you can ask all your questions!

Continental Knitting
Sunday, August 26: Continental Knitting, 2pm – 4pm
Continental Knitting is also known as ‘European Knitting’, or, left-hand knitting. This is not only a very efficient knitting method, it’s also considered easier to learn if you’re migrating from crochet! The yarn is held in the left hand, and is fed in a very similar way to crochet.

Short rows can help you create shapes in your knitting, help you turn sharp corners (like a heel), and provide subtle shaping for curves. This technique has been growing in popularity, and can now be found in so many different patterns! You’ll learn three common methods in this class.
