If you want to take your crochet skills to the next level and make some gorgeous lace pieces, we have three classes coming up that may be perfect for you. Check out our Irish Crochet Scarf, Hairpin Lace, and Crochet Lace Shawl workshops in February!
You’ll come away from each class with a new lace skill, and the ability to make stunning, unique garments. All you need for these classes is a knowledge of basic crochet stitches, so you can learn something interesting without already being an expert.
Irish Crochet Scarf
Learn the basics of Irish crochet while you make this amazing scarf! In session one students will learn how to make the lace mesh that forms the base of the scarf, as well as the leaves for the roses. Variations for making different types of mesh will be discussed. In session two we’ll make the roses and place the flowers and leaves and seam them to the mesh. Scarf can be worked as written with yarn doubled for a bold effect, or with a single strand for a more understated approach.
