Come Crochet With Us
We’ve got a wonderful class coming up Sunday, July 29th that will be perfect for any level of crafter. Crochet borders can tidy up imperfect edges, and improve the appearance of finished pieces. You can also use this technique to add pops of color to projects. You’ll determine which edging will work best and how to choose the right yarn for your design.
For a project-based class, learn to make this beautiful Crochet Lace Shawl with Edita. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn how crochet lace works, and you’ll have started your shawl before you head home! You’ll learn to read a crochet lace pattern, practice your skills, and start your own shawl.
This class is a fabulous combination of technique & project. It’s inspired by Whistle & Ivey’s wonderful crochet plaid designs, and you’ll learn how to make a small hat while working on the technique. We’ll talk color selection, and how to carry those multiple colors to create a plaid effect. You’ll also learn to work the stretchy crochet ribbing and incorporate decreases in the color pattern.
Tapestry Crochet is a form of crochet colorwork, working one yarn over the other. This creates a dense fabric that’s perfect for coasters, bags, and baskets. In this class, Edita will simplify the intricate color changes and compact structure that’s associated with the technique.
Have you ever looked at cable patterns with longing, wondering if it’s possible with crochet? Well, now it is! Come take Basic Crochet Cables with Edita. This is also an amazing precursor for the ShibaGuyz Master Class coming up in September. In this class, you’ll explore post stitches, and new ways of inserting the hook into your fabric to create cables that cross in both directions.
By controlling how colors pool when using a variegated yarn, you can create spectacular patterns, including argyle! Learn how to analyze the color sequence of variegated yarn, and plan a pattern repeat. You’ll also learn tips and tricks for making adjustments as needed, so your color pooling remains consistent every row. Plus, you’ll start this adorable moss stitch scarf.
