This sweater looks absolutely gorgeous and I would very much like to make it. What I would like to know is the gauge of the wool and needle size.

Studio says: Hi Darlene, please click on the photo above or the words “Cable Luxe Tunic” to see all of the specifics about the pattern.

    It’s out of Wool-Ease. 18 stitches per 4″ on US 8

I, too, love that sweater. I’ve read and re-read it, but don’t find a place where it ever tells you how many stitches to cast on to start any of the parts! If you can figure it out, please email me at bhall3@twcny.rr.com. I’m a pretty advanced knitter, but this pattern doesn’t look like it’s very well written to me, sorry to say.

Studio says: Hi Barre, we’re sorry to hear that you’ve been having trouble with the Tunic. All of our patterns start at the point where it states what the item is. So in this case after the word “PULLOVER”, which appears just below the schematic drawing, it says:
    Yoke
With larger needles, cast on 26 sts

The rest of the parts of the pattern are all picked up off of the yoke, with specific amounts of stitches to pick up listed under each element such as “Front” or “Back” or “Sleeve.” For more help with the Cable Luxe Tunic, check out the KAL on the Lion Brand Notebook or e-mail support@lionbrand.com .
