The last couple of weeks have brought us visits from two extraordinary women.  First Anna Hrachovec, creater of Mochimochi Land, came by for a book signing of her adorable book.

She brought in every sample from the book & delighted all her fans by getting an up close and personal peek at all her creations.

They also got to meet Anna, and or course, get their book signed!

Learn Lily’s latest methods of creating cables on both sides of a fabric.  These include fully moving and expanding cables across whole surfaces (i.e. not just the same old vertical rope cables).  These are similar to “traveling stitches” and each side need not be the same!  Then become familiar with a unique, 2-colored, vertically pinstriped reversible cable effect.  You must experience them to believe them.  Get a sneak peak at Lily in action on You Tube.

Last week we were honored to host Lily Chin for a behind the scenes glimpse into the making of her two newest books: Knitting Tips & Tricks , and Crochet Tips & Tricks .

It was a packed house of knitters and crocheters, eager to pick up her amazing tips. We learned about the after thought chain,

tricks for buttons, how to mark your swatches and much more. We also learned about how to make a knitting & crochet chart from any picture (see Yankees logo below):

Her work has been on the backs of celebrities and super models, from Racquel Welch and Vanna White to Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. Lily also is the reigning champion fastest crocheter in the world, a title she defended in October 2004 at the world championships in London.
