Join us for an evening of folk art and knitwear with designer and author Lucinda Guy.
Best known for her adorable children’s books and designs, Lucinda is also the author of Northern Knits, a beautiful collection of women’s wear inspired by the knits of Scandinavia, Iceland, and the Shetland Isles. Now, just in time for the holiday season, she’s crossing the pond to introduce us to her latest book, Northern Knits Gifts! This stunning collection of accessories, garments, and home decor are all reminiscent of knitting folk traditions, and will make cherished gifts for all the knitwear enthusiasts in your life.
Lucinda Guy is a knitwear designer-maker and author who creates clothes, accessories, toys and books for both adults and children. She lives in Brighton, England with her partner, illustrator and graphic designer François Hall (who creates all the illustrations in her children’s books). She is inspired by folk art, folk lore, the natural world and traditional knitting techniques. By combining her inspiration with her passion for sustainable, authentic pure wool yarns she has deftly updated traditional crafts for the modern crafter.
Join us for this special designer talk and Q&A.
Books are available for purchase at the Studio, and Lucinda will be signing books following the talk.
