Lucinda Guy is coming to teach in America for the first time ever!
Lucinda will be teaching three master classes here at the Studio featuring exciting techniques from the traditional crafts of different cultures. She wrote to tell us about the techniques she’ll be teaching and how excited she is, here’s what she had to say about each of the classes!
“I have really enjoyed putting these three workshops together. I’m always amazed at how many traditional techniques there are to be discovered and to incorporate into my designs… Can’t believe we are now into October; I shall be in NY and teaching workshops before I know it!”
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from Lucinda, we don’t know when she’ll be back in the US again!

Swedish Twined Knitting – The Basics
Sunday, November 4
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
“Twined knitting has to be one of my favorite ‘northern’ knitting techniques… It is such a useful technique to learn and twined knitted fabric is distinctive and very beautiful. I’ve not met anyone yet who, once they have tried twined knitting, has not totally fallen in love with it.”

Estonian Decorative Knitted Cast On Techniques
Monday, November 5
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
“One aspect of the decorative twined and Estonian cast on techniques that I particularly like is that you can make decorative tassels. I was so excited when I first discovered how easy it was to make them! I now find it hard not to add them to every pair of mittens that I knit.”
