Craft for Christmas in July
When we’re getting our gift ideas together, we often choose ideas that we don’t actually know how to make! Have no fear – we’ve organized our summer classes by category, so you can master the techniques you’ll need to whip up fabulous gifts later this year.
A bevy of our summer classes will help you conquer those classic winter accessories: gloves, mittens, hats, and more. My First Gloves, My First Mittens, and Crochet Mittens are perfect for crafters who want to master the basics before starting at the 11th hour.
Hats are another quintessential winter gift, and we’ve got a variety of classes for mastering any technique! There’s Crochet Hat for Everyone, and Circular Knitting Basics: Make a Hat. And don’t forget Fair Isle Basics, for a perfect introduction to color work. These classes are accessible and fun, and you’ll be crafting hats like crazy once you’re done.
We’ll offer a handful of classes for handmade decorations, too! Our 3D Needle Felting class will have you peopling your loved ones homes with adorable gnomes. Learn the tricks to making sculptural felt so well, you can venture into your own ideas. Crochet Amigurumi is another fun opportunity to get creative with what fiber can do! You’ll feel more confident choosing those ami patterns you’ve admired on Pinterest with the skills you’ll learn in this class.
From Brioche Basics to crochet jewelry, to lovely scarves and shawls, we’ve got you covered, whatever’s on your gifting list. And even if you aren’t sure what you’ll be planning to craft for gifts this year, come learn the skills and techniques you’ll need to get a head-start on your holiday crafting.
