For the holidays this year I’m wishing for some Fishermen’s Wool® to make the Inishturk Sweater. I love all the different cable textures and think this would be a great sweater to wear here at work, or to lounge around in on the weekends. The other thing I need for the sweater is time to make it! If we could get a snowstorm and I can spend a couple days at home knitting, that would be the best holiday gift ever!
I think I was hungry when I sought out my wish-list items this year – doesn’t this look like dessert? I love this ceramic yarn bowl ($37) from Pawley Studios for corralling my current work-in-progress…no more wayward skeins here! I’ve also got my eye on the LB Collection® Silk; once I’ve finished all of my holiday crafting (IF I finish all of my holiday crafting?), I’m making myself a super-soft lace scarf.
I need to get my crafting organized. I’ve been doing a lot of fair isle and this 3 hole yarn caddy ($19) is the perfect thing to keep my yarn from tangling. Less time wrangling yarn means more time knitting! I also love these Knit Happy notions bags ($24.95). My stitch markers and cable needles and scissors always end up in different places, with this bag I can keep everything together.
Blocking is such an important step that I’m always tempted to skip. I want these blocking tools to make it easier and more fun (and more likely to happen!) These blocking wires ($25.95) will help me get perfect edges with less pinning, the Eucalan wash ($13) is great because it smells wonderful and there’s no rinsing. The Knitter’s Blocks ($50.95) are easy to store in their bag and I can put them together into any shape I need.
I show my love for crochet with every handmade item I wear. With this Furls Jewel crochet hook ($25) I can show my love for silver jewelry AND crochet!
