We’ve got a brand new window display in honor of our special #HatNotHate campaign. The display features a giant blue hat, surrounded by a bevy of smaller blue hats, all boasting wooden #HatNotHate tags. In case you missed our recent post, Lion Brand has teamed up with STOMP Out Bullying for their annual campaign to raise awareness about the negative effects of bullying & cyberbullying on kids & teens. We’re encouraging our crafters to knit or crochet blue hats to wear on World Day of Bullying Prevention on October 1st.

Get Involved
There are several different ways you can get involved with this campaign, and you can find more information on our previous blog. One option is to craft your own hat, or hats for you & your friends, or even your kids, and sport them on October 1st. You can wear them beyond, as well – the month of October is Bullying Awareness Month, and hopefully these hats will signify this intention all school year long. But if you have some extra yarn and time, you can craft a hat to donate. We’re collecting hats from all over the country for a local school in NYC. Lion Brand’s goal is to collect 1500 hats to outfit an entire school, and you can join us. Any extra blue hats you craft can be dropped off at our Manhattan Studio, and the deadline to bring them in is September 20th.
