Next time you stop by the Studio, you’ll be welcomed with warm colors courtesy of this artwork by Deborah Jarchow.
Regarding her artwork, titled “Color Series 7.6”, Deborah says:
“Color Series 7.6 is one of a number of pieces I made while exploring how colors work together in woven pieces. It consists of wool that is woven with open spaces between groups of warp and weft threads. After it was taken off the loom, I lightly felted it so the fabric is sturdy but still flexible. The color transitions are created by alternating the colors to make somewhat subtle shifts in some areas, but more dramatic changes in other places.”
