We have changed the dates for our upcoming My First Cardigan workshop. Formerly scheduled to begin Monday, September 29th and conclude on Monday, October 27th, classes will now begin on Monday, October 13th, continuing through Monday, October 27th, and conclude on Monday, November 10th. That’s three Mondays from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
We’ve remade the pattern in new LB Collection® Crepe Twist and we think it looks great! If you’ve never made a sweater before, this is a great way to take on your first sweater project.
My First Cardigan
Learn the fundamentals of pattern reading, master the top down raglan technique; learn how to pick up stitches, seaming and more. Before you know it, you will be wearing your very first sweater!
Three Mondays: October 13th, 27th, and November 10th
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Tuition: $75
Is JUST the pattern for sale?
I think this is a free pattern on the Lion Brand Yarn website-it is a called “A Very Simple Cardigan” (or something like that). Just put “cardigan” in the search box and scroll through the patterns. I do not think it is the same color, but it looks like the same pattern.
Where could I find this pattern to knit???
Here’s the info on the cardi – pattern is Simple Raglan Cardi, L10199. We used LBC Crepe Twist instead of the recommended yarn, and the smallest size took 4 hanks of the Plum color way. Here’s the link to the free pattern: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L10199.html
I’m interested in this class, but I only crochet. Could you specify if it’s a crochet or knitting workshop. Is the materials included? Thanks
Janette – I’m like you, I’m a crocheter. I can knit too but it takes too long. I think the class is a knitting class because that’s what the pattern calls for.
This is a knitted pattern using knit and purl.
Can I get just the pattern for this sweater? I do not need the class, but like this sweater.
Hi Pat,

Since I live in Canada I am unable to attend the workshop = where will I be able to get the pattern?
Thanks, Gaile
