Lucinda Guy is coming to the USA (On Sale September 1st)

Lucinda Guy is a knitwear designer-maker and an accomplished author of eight knitting and crochet books. She combines her love of folk art and traditional knitting and crochet techniques to create clothes, accessories and toys for both adults and children.

	Thrums and Thrumming! Learn all about the superbly insulating and decorative folk art of Thrums and Thrumming. During the workshop you will learn what a thrum is and how you can make one, and how to create wonderfully insulated mittens by incorporating thrums as you knit. Sunday Nov 4 10:00 – 1:00 pm Tuition: $65
	Swedish Twined Knitting: The Basics Learn the ancient and beautiful Swedish Twined or two-ended knitting technique. This technique produces a wonderfully firm and double thick fabric that is ideal for making mittens and socks. During the workshop you will knit a small sample, working in the round with 5 double-pointed needles and you will be given patterns for Twined mittens to take away and finish at home. 	Estonian Decorative Knitted Cast On Techniques Learn some of the many stunningly beautiful and original decorative cast on techniques used for traditional Estonian knitted mittens, socks and sweaters. Techniques will include the classic two color, old Estonian Fish Tail cast on and the extravagantly decorative, Fringed cast on. There will also be plenty of tips for making knitted cuffs for folk mittens and socks. Monday Nov 5, 1:00 – 4:00 pm Tuition: $65

Nicky Epstein (On Sale September 1st)

Nicky Epstein is a world renowned knit wear designer, teacher, and author of over 20 bestselling books! Her knitting and crochet books range from highly original resource books, to historical books, to travel books, to Barbie Doll books, to amazingly creative design fashion/pattern books. She has won the National Independent Book Publisher’s Award for Best Craft Book Of The Year…three times!

Knitting in Circles Knitting In Circles is Nicky’s brand-new book, and this brand-new class will introduce you to the skills and projects she discusses in it. We will get to peek at many of the samples from her book and learn to think outside the “box” and see how stunning pieces made using circles can be! Nicky will teach a variety of techniques used in knitting circles and demonstrate how to arrange circles together to form beautiful projects. Sunday Nov 11, 2:00 – 5:00 pm Tuition: $65
