Do you craft for a cause?
Join us for one of our favorites, Knitting Without Borders!
The next get-together is coming up on February 8th from 6pm – 8pm, and we’d love to have you join us.
Knitting Without Borders is a charity crafting group that delivers toy bears to children in need of comfort in the US and around the world. To date they have delivered thousands of bears to kids in orphanages, schools, remote villages, and to children in hospitals who are undergoing testing or treatment. Click here to check out their website and get to know their work!
A free pattern for the bear is available here, if you’d like to study it in advance. We’ll have patterns and some yarn for embellishments available on the night! Please bring your own washable, worsted weight scrap yarn, hooks and needles. If you have fiber-fill, bring that, too!

For those of us who do not live in NYC, how about having these great courses streamed online……we would be able to spread the word and form groups in different geographic areas to make these items. Also would like to see the same kind of thing for throws, blankets, etc.
I would love to purchase the pattern for your bears without borders. They are adorable in the photo. I knit bears for my local fire stations and I’d love to have a new variation to give them.
And, I agree with Martha O’Hara’s post requesting that the courses streamed online. Great idea Martha!
I too agree with Martha O’Hara’s post. Don’t leave in NY but have visited your store each time I’m in NY.
Hi – Can I get the pattern for crocheting? Would love to make some bears for this great cause!! Thanks!!
Hi Terry, There’s a link to the pattern in the post above!
