If you’re curious about weaving, then you’re invited to join us for WEFT. WEFT is our monthly gathering of weaving enthusiasts, hosted by Studio Education Director Gretchen. Weavers gather at our Manhattan Studio once a month to celebrate small loom weaving. This intimate group gathers to create, discuss, and share projects with an appreciative audience. Be sure to bring your finished textiles for a show and tell.

Thinking of investing in a loom?

WEFT is a great opportunity to try one out, and ask questions! We have a selection to try, such as the Schacht Cricket and Flip, as well as the Ashford Knitter’s Loom, Inklette, and Sample It! For interested tapestry weavers we have the School Loom and Ashford Frame loom. If you’re not sure which loom will be best for you, then this is the perfect time to get a feel for options, and ask questions about renting. We offer loom rentals for increments of two weeks, and your rental fee can be applied to a loom purchase if you end up buying the same loom.
