On Sunday, November 17 over 400 people turned up to help us celebrate the Lion Brand Yarn Studio’s 5th Anniversary! It was a star-studded event with Nicky Epstein showing off designs from her latest book, and Lily Chin officiating our Speed Knitting and Crochet contest. Dozens of people entered the Name That Yarn, Guess How Many Bonbons, and Trivia contests. We were so thrilled to dole out prizes to the winners and present all of our guests with our new Lion Brand tote bags.
David Blumenthal, the President & CEO of Lion Brand, stopped by to join the festivities. He spoke a few words of thanks to the customers who helped make his dream of opening a flagship store possible. One of the highlights of the day was when David served sparkling cider to customers lined up at the cash register!
